The BBC Lives Again!

After the BBC went up in smoke a couple of weeks ago, I finally got hold of a couple of new keyboard keys, a set of three replacement capacitors and a game rom “Missile Control”.

One of my students soldered the new keys and capacitors into the motherboard. We switched on the power and waited. We were very happy to see a BASIC prompt. All working again. Just got to work out where to stick the game ROM as there are several empty ROM sockets?

Capacitors £3.20 from Retroclinic on EBay

ROM £4.95

Keys £3.50 all from Retroclinic
