Saturday Night out in Reading

We don’t get out as much as we used to so it was great to finally get to Reading last Saturday for a night out with Keith and Brian. Caught the train into Reading and tried out a few bars and a few beers.

The Sun Inn – nice selection of beers and real ales.

Pavlogs Dog – again, very nice mixture of beers, ales and ciders. Pool table and live music. Normally I like Lager, Lager and nothing but lager. Was brave this night and tried something new – quite enjoyed it – would definitely recommend this:

The Horn. Small bar but nice feel. Had a duo singing covers.

The Hope Tap – heavy metal band – didn’t get their name as I was a little drunk by this point.

All the bars had live music. Good atmospheres. We got some food from the usual Chicken shop (haven’t come down with food poisoning yet) and am looking forward to doing this again soon.

Here’s Brian showing how impressed he was with the Heavy Metal band.

We asked them if they could play anything more mainstream and they obliged:

This is what they normally sound like:
